2nd Quarter Lit Circles

Remember that, like the classics, many of the best young adult novels deal with serious social issuesthings like abuse, racism and prejudice, teen pregnancy, and even disease and death. The available titles address real-life problems and concerns of teens.  You (or your parents) should express any concerns you might have with the books content in a timely fashion so that we can work together to address those concerns.  You will be required to take an AR test over your lit circle book (+ one other self-selected book) by the end of the quarter (likely on or around Dec. 21.)

These books were picked specifically to "pair" with the play The Crucible, meaning that they contain similar characters, themes, or conflicts.  Focus on that similarity, especially when you are playing the role of connector.
